Breast cancer is a disease in which there is an uncontrolled growth of breast cells. This disease is found among women, and although rare, is sometimes found in men. However, there is some good news… In recent years, we have seen a gradual reduction in female breast cancer incidence rates among women aged 50 and older. Mortality rates from breast cancer have been declining since about 1990, in part due to better screening and early detection, increased awareness, continually improving treatment options, and of course prayer. Please be sure to stay up-to-date with your screenings. We want you to stay well, be well, and live well. Below is a link of sites and facilities throughout New York State where you can be screened.
