Our Founder

Bishop Melda B. Williams

Bishop Melda B. Williams, a native of Guyana serves as Overseer of “Grace Churches Redeemed Through Christ.” She stands as the Founder of The City Of Grace (formerly More Grace Redemptive Center). This great church hails the city of Brooklyn, New York. She has labored as soul winner and in the study of the Word of God and is the President of “More Grace Bible College & Seminary.” Bishop trusts the authority of the Word, and believes that the consistent application of the same generates spiritual blessings, fosters the accomplishment of the impossible and enables one to live a Holy and victorious life.

Bishop holds a burden for the equality and social justice of the Black Young Men, being ever concerned with their needs and firmly believing their future rests solely in the hands of the Church. Through all of her many accomplishments, she walks with courage and humility and is an example of 1 Cor. 2:4-5, KJV “And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.” Bishop Williams is the proud mother of Pastor Michele Lawe and Steve Williams, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she considers it a blessing to share Ministry with both children and grandchildren.
